Vyom Mitra - A humanoid for space from ISRO.

Vyom MITRA- A spacefaring humanoid robot by ISRO.

As all you know that last year ISRO has launched its Chandaryan - 2 mission already last year in September 2019 and got achieved approx. 99 % of its target.
Now ISRO is planning to launch its Gaganyaan mission very soon in the end of this year.
Vyom mitra is the part of that project.
ISRO is planning to send a humanoid robot to space for there mission.

The vyom mitra was launched on 22 January 2020 & it is manufactured by ISRO.
As per ISRO sources it will accompanied with indian astronauts for Gaganyaan mission.
India aims not to fly animals onboard experimental missions unlike other nations that have carried out human space flight. Instead, it will fly humanoid robots for a better understanding of what weightlessness and radiation do to the human body during long durations in space.
Vyommitra is expected to be onboard unmanned Gaganyaan missions to microgravity experiments and support astronauts in manned missions. It can speak Hindi and English and perform multiple tasks. It can mimic human activity, recognise other humans, and respond to their queries. Technically, it can perform environment control and life support systems functions, handle switch panel operations, and give environmental air pressure change warnings.
Gaganyaan mission-

1.) Gaganyaan without crewed- planned in December 2020
2.) Gaganyaan with crewed- planned in December 2021
Gaganyaan space programme in which ISRO planning to send 3 astronaut and 1 female humanoid robot for the mission.

Facebook's soon-to-be instant messaging platform WhatsApp is also going to get a payment option to the users soon.  The company has now been granted permission by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to expand its pilot United Payment Interface (UPI) service.  Unique Identity Database Aadhaar and UPI architect Nandan Nilekani say that now WhatsApp can bring payment service for more than 10 million users.

Nilekani gave this information at the IIT Industry Conclave on Friday.  WhatsApp Pay, the payment feature of WhatsApp, has been designed to work on UPIs developed by NPCI.  With this help, users will be able to transact business transactions and money from their bank accounts on the messaging app itself.  It was started as a pilot project by WhatsApp for about 1 million users and was licensed for the project in 2018.

Limit increased from 10 lakh to 1 crore
According to media reports, on Friday, NPCI has increased this limit for WhatsApp from 10 lakh to 10 million users.  The report quoted the unnamed source of the RBI as saying.  However, no comment has been made by both NPCI and WhatsApp.  Currently, the messaging app has been testing its payment service with users for the last one year, which is now in its final stages.

Expected to launch by the end of the year
Let me tell you, the number of WhatsApp users in India is around 400 million.  The company's global head, Will Cathcart, said that the company wants that sending money from its platform is as easy as sending messages.  Cathcart had said that WhatsApp's peer-to-peer UPI based pay service will be introduced in India by the end of this year for more than 300 million users, especially small and medium businesses (SMBs).

The A.I.(Artificial Intelligence)- The revolution of this decade

AI- Artificial Intelligence
The artificial intelligence is the next big revolution of this decade, where it can change your lifestyle, change autonomous in the factories and bring a big revolution in the whole world.

"When your email automatically sorts out your spam, when your computer alerts you to security risks or when you translate a text, it may be Microsoft’s artificial intelligence services, AI, which are behind the features."

What is AI ?
A system’s ability to correctly interpret external data, to learn from such data, and to use those learnings to achieve specific goals and tasks through flexible adaptation.

Few ways where AI will change your life.

1. Fewer screens and more voice control(Alexa,ok google, siri etc.)
We already see it in our lives. An example is Siri; a smart computer you can ask questions and get answers right away. In the future, there will be an unbeatable assistant who plans, reminds and is one step ahead. Soon we won’t need screens anymore – we’ll talk to Siri or Alexa.

2. Repetitive Data Disappear

All kinds of repetitive jobs will disappear because of AI. From chatbots that solve customer service issues, to more complex tasks like scheduling like x. Ai. AI simply frees up more time for humans to be creative and innovative.

3. Always personalization

With data comes a deeper understanding of what each customer wants, and when they want it. Here we are not talking about what you might want to buy from an e-retailer – but the atmosphere with its light, sound and air is adapted to you in a room that you enter.

4. Automation

Perhaps the most obvious. From robots that build or package a warehouse for e-dealers to self-driving cars. Just think that children born today will probably never have to take a driver’s license. The labor market will change the shift to the non-digital, and the machines can not control today.

5. Time effectiveness

AI will save us a lot of time by performing tasks, collecting data and providing a basis for decisions in a much more efficient way than we humans can.

6. AI + HUMAN

A big shift we have ahead of us is to move from using software to working with the software as a team member. We talk about everything from a part of a project team to a board. Or, as Alibaba’s founder Jack Ma said, maybe even a future CEO?

7. Increased productivity

AI will have the same impact on the digital revolution that electricity had for the industrial revolution. As a human being, we will move away from many of the administrative tasks that today take up much of our time, and instead operate in a world where we have a robot that delivers.

8. Quality of life

AI will fundamentally revolutionize our world through everything from smarter energy consumption, smarter healthcare and longer health to technology that significantly improves living conditions for developing countries.

9. Ethics is getting more important

What can a robot do and not do? Where does the border go, or rather where do we draw it? Here we as people have to think about and the big companies have a great responsibility. More on this.

10. A world where no one needs a job?

Will the reality in the future be as in the movies and series we have seen? Will we sit and monitor robots that do our former jobs in a world of citizen pay  and robot tax? Is it Musk or Zuckerberg right?
No matter who is waiting for us, a world where social systems and infrastructure will fundamentally change.
AI and robot take thousands of jobs bur also creat more for humans.
Sure, AI, robots and algorithms will take over a lot of jobs that are being run by humans today, but they will create the more. The net is expected to be 58 million by 2022, according to the World Economic Forum.
It is usually mentioned that AI and robotization are a threat to the job. The automation means that people are simply exchanged for software and robots. But a major report from the World Economic Fourm provides a much brighter picture of the future labor market – and it shows that new technology creates significantly more jobs than it destroys in the coming five-year period.
Because although technologies such as automated software, artificial intelligence and robotics are expected to make 75 million jobs disappear by 2022 – they are also expected to have created 133 million new roles in companies around the world.
This would mean a net of 58 million jobs in the future. But for this brighter scenario to take place, some action is required.

Importance of Electric Vehicles

One of the main reasons for the introduction of electric cars into the market is the concern over greenhouse gas emissions and how much their contribution to global warming.

The major impact of reducing carbon emissions in urban area & the carbon emissions will decrease because there is no exhaust pipe in electric Vehicles.
In fact if we talk about energy efficiency than electric vehicles are efficient than gas or petroleum vehicles.

Electric vehicles affordable
In future electric vehicles will be more affordable as battery manufacturing technology will improve and changed.

Cost of maintenance
Maintenance cost of electric vehicles are much less than petroleum or gas vehicles because electric vehicles runs on battery and a  motor and a few mechanical parts so there is less maintenance work than petroleum vehicles.

Battery technology for EV's.
If we can discuss about power source of electric vehicle is a lithium ion battery which have a lot of lithium ion cell but in future we will see a number of revolution in battery(power pack storage) technology, where scientist will introduce Solid state battery or sodium material battery, which provide much power output than lithium ion batteries.

SONY concept car S vision

Sony surprises the whole world with an electric concept car called the Vision-S.

Sony just made what might be one of the biggest surprise announcements at this year’s CES: a car. Called the Sony Vision-S, it’s an electric concept sedan that is meant to showcase the Japanese tech conglomerate’s many different strengths, from entertainment products to camera sensors and more.

In fact, the Vision-S features 33 different sensors inside and outside of the car, multiple widescreen displays, 360 audio, and always-on connectivity, with some pieces coming from industry players like BlackBerry and Bosch. It’s also powered by a “newly-designed EV platform” — which appears to have been engineered by automotive supplier Magna — that Sony says will be able to power other vehicle types, like SUVs.
“This prototype embodies our contribution to the future of mobility,” Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said.

The company announced the car at the tail end of its CES press conference, where it also unveiled the logo for the upcoming PlayStation 5. Sony only spent a minute or two discussing the car before ending the press conference, too, and so it left tons of questions unanswered. Does Sony (or Magna) intend to put this into production, or is it just meant to be a reference car? Will Magna let other companies build their own prototypes or reference cars on the platform?

Sony also announced that its successful image sensor division also seems to be making investments into technologies that are adjacent to self-driving, including LIDAR and Time-of-Flight cameras. Below, find a bit from the company’s press release about how it describes those investments.

CMOS image sensors which achieve high sensitivity, high definition and high dynamic range while also suppressing LED flicker*3 to deliver accurate object recognition, even in situations where conventionally detection has been difficult.

Solid State LiDAR which uses highly accurate distance measurement to gain a precise 3D grasp of real-life spaces.

Sensor fusion technology which merges the capabilities of sensors of varied attributes to enable early and accurate recognition, even in challenging conditions such as fog, backlight and night-time driving.
Time-of-Flight (ToF) in-cabin sensing solutions use distance measurement technology to detect and recognize people and objects inside the car. This information is used to provide an optimized infotainment system with intuitive interfaces such as gesture control and improve safety and comfort inside the vehicle.

Supposedly the car charges to full in less than 60 minutes (from empty), but copying the files takes another 8 hours.

If you use ATRAC-3 power compression, you can fit 3000 miles in the batteries, but it takes a month to charge!

The MERCEDES BENZ VISION AVTR

The MERCEDES BENZ VISION AVTR

Inspired by the future.

VISION AVTR – inspired by AVATAR.

The name of the groundbreaking concept vehicle stands not only for the close collaboration in developing the show car together with the AVATAR team but also for ADVANCED VEHICLE TRANSFORMATION. This concept vehicle embodies the vision of Mercedes-Benz designers, engineers and trend researchers for mobility in the distant future.

Extremely confident – and completely without emissions.

With its four high-performance and near-wheel-built electric motors, the VISION AVTR embodies a particularly agile implementation of the vision of a dynamic luxury saloon. With a combined engine power of more than 350 kW, the VISION AVTR sets a new benchmark for EQ Power. Thanks to the intelligent and fully variable torque distribution, the power of the four fully individually controllable motors is not only managed in the best possible way in terms of driving dynamics, but above all in a highly efficient manner. The innovative all-wheel drive with torque vectoring enables completely new freedoms and guarantees driving dynamics at the highest level while at the same time providing the best possible active safety. This means that each wheel can be driven separately and depending on the driving situation. Due to the possibility to drive the front and rear axles simultaneously or in opposite ways, the VISION AVTR can move sideways by approx. 30 degrees, in contrast to conventional vehicles. The so-called “crab movement” gives the concept vehicle a reptile-like appearance even in its movement.

Organic battery technology.

The VISION AVTR was designed in line with its innovative electric drive. This is based on a particularly powerful and compact high-voltage battery. For the first time, the revolutionary battery technology is based on graphene-based organic cell chemistry and thus completely eliminates rare, toxic and expensive earths such as metals. Electromobility thus becomes independent of fossil resources. An absolute revolution is also the recyclability by composting, which is 100% recyclable due to the materiality. As a result, Mercedes-Benz underlines the high relevance of a future circular economy in the raw materials sector.

Exceptional fast charging capability.

In addition to an exponentially high energy density – compared to today’s battery systems with up to 1,200 Wh/litre – the technology also impresses with its exceptional fast charging capability via automated, conductive charging technology. This means that the battery will be fully recharging in less than 15 minutes. The innovative technology also allows maximum flexibility with regard to the construction space: with a local minimum of 94 millimetres, the battery adapts ideally to the shared space vehicle concept, thus maximising the multifunctional interior.
With a capacity of around 110 kWh, the VISION AVTR enables an electric range of more than 700 kilometres. By recuperating during roll-out and braking, the high-voltage battery can be recharged with a higher efficiency than established systems while driving and thus contributes to the high energy efficiency of the overall system.

Masterpiece of efficiency.

At Mercedes-Benz, the consideration of efficiency goes far beyond the drive concept, because with increasing digitalisation, the performance of the large number of so-called secondary consumers also comes into focus – along with their efficient energy supply, without negatively affecting the drive power of the vehicle itself. Energy consumption per computing operation is already a key target in the development of new computer chips. This trend will continue in the coming years with the growth of sensors and artificial intelligence in the automotive industry. The neuro-inspired approach of the VISION AVTR, including so-called neuromorphic hardware, promises to minimise the energy requirements of sensors, chips and other components to a few watts. Their energy supply is provided by the cached current of the integrated solar plates on the back of the VISION AVTR. The 33 multi-directionally movable surface elements act as “bionic flaps”.

Interior and exterior merge.

For the first time, Mercedes-Benz has worked with a completely new design approach in the design of the VISION AVTR. The holistic concept combines the design disciplines interior, exterior and UX from the first sketch. Man and human perception are the starting point of a design process from the inside out. The design process begins with the experience of the passengers and consciously focuses on the perception and needs of the passengers. The goal was to create a car that prolongs the perception of its passengers. It was also a matter of creating an immersive experience space in which passengers connect with each other, with the vehicle and the surrounding area in a unique way.

Sustainable materials.

Large areas such as the back shell of the seat and the sky are decorated with a colour-changing fabric inspired by the colour world of the sea. Depending on the light, the textile changes its colour from dark blue to a subtle light blue. These seats are refined by the vegan DINAMICA leather. DINAMICA is the first and only microfibre that guarantees environmental sustainability throughout the entire production cycle.
It is recycled material made from old clothing, flags and PET plastic bottles. During production, attention is paid to low pollutant emissions and low energy consumption. Thanks to its versatility, maximum performance and high quality, DINAMICA is suitable for use in luxurious car interiors. It also guarantees slip resistance for passengers on the seats. The softness of the material gives the occupants a “welcome home” feeling.

Intuitive control.

The VISION AVTR already responds to the approach of the passengers by visualising the energy and information flow of the environment with digital neurons that flow through the grille through the wheels to the rear area. The first interaction in the interior between man and vehicle happens completely intuitively via the control unit: by placing the hand on the centre console, the interior comes to life and the vehicle recognises the driver by his breathing. This is made visible on the instrument panel and on the user’s hand. The VISION AVTR thus establishes a biometric connection with the driver and increases his awareness of the environment. The digital neurons flow from the interior into the exterior and visualise the flow of energy and information. For example, when driving, the neurons flow over the outside of the vehicle. When changing direction, the energy flows to the corresponding side of the vehicle.

Bionic formal language.

When the boundaries between vehicle and living beings are lifted, Mercedes-Benz combines luxury and sustainability and works to make the vehicles as resource-saving as possible. With the VISION AVTR, the brand is now showing how a vehicle can blend harmoniously into its environment and communicate with it. In the ecosystem of the future, the ultimate luxury is the fusion of human and nature with the help of technology. The VISION AVTR is thus an example of sustainable luxury in the field of design. As soon as you get in, the car becomes an extension of your own body and a tool to discover the environment much as in the film humans can use avatars to extend and expand their abilities.
